Not the shit ones you buy in a grocer store, but the ones that they do in big stone ovens and baste and get the nice skin on and. You know, those real montreal style bagels. A REAL BAGEL!!! God I missed real bagels. I now have Viva la Vega!!! It's mine- all mine!!! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to drool over it's magic. My last bit of news shall be short, as I've lost all patience with internet postings. It takes merely a day before my persistent poking and prodding had my mom at the computer, emailing the nice woman dates we're available to drive out, and, as things do happen (especially with me for some reason), that wonderful woman specializes in Icelandic horses!! I was so excited I nearly fell off my chair in bewildered agitation. She told my mom to come and told her to bring me, seeing as how I've always wanted to ride, but never really had a proper chance at it. At the end of the day, the ski instructor gave her a small business card turned out she owns a ranch in Lumby, a small community about forty-five minutes drive from my home town, and occasionally invites friends to come and ride on her 30-some-odd horses around the valley. Because it was cheap, and she didn't want to ski by herself, she bought herself a group lesson. My mom was skiing the second to last day of the season as Silver Star mountain. I told my mom, and how hard I did laugh at her expense. I went online, searched several websites, and what do you know- Joyce was originally a boys name! Then, just today, having forgotten about the whole disagreement, I was skimming names in the cast of a show I recently took up, and I saw the last name Joyce which struck a sudden rush of curiosity I couldn't ignore. Of course she laughed at me and asked, disbelief tainting her lively words, "for a boy?" I glared back and didn't say anything: I liked Joyce, not only as tribute to one of my favourite writers, James Joyce, but because I thought it sounded nice and more modern compared to if it were fit to a girl. The other day my mom and I were driving down the highway and, coming out of my thoughts, I said to her "you know. Now that I'm back, though, I'd like to give a nice warm "HELLO" to all the lovely people out there who talk to me, and hope they give me one back. Well, I've been back for a few days now, but I really haven't been able to get on the computer much.
